Thermaltake Goes Big With Urban T81 PC Enclosure

Thermaltake has announced its new, big Urban T81 PC enclosure. As a consequence of its size, it has room for a rather large amount of hardware.

The case can house up to E-ATX-size motherboards, two optical drive bays, as well as another eight 2.5" or 3.5" devices. The case has eight expansion slots, and can support graphics cards up to 360 mm long, or 400 mm long with the hard drive trays removed. CPU coolers can be up to 180 mm tall.

Fan and radiator support is also rather extensive. Both the top and the front of the case can support either up to two 200 mm fans, two 140 mm fans, or three 120 mm fans. The bottom of the case can hold up to two 140 mm or 120 mm fans, and the rear exhaust can accommodate either a 120 mm or 140 mm fan. Radiator support is present for all the fan locations, with matching respective sizes.

Front I/O connectivity is handled by two USB 3.0 ports paired with four USB 2.0 ports and the standard set of HD audio jacks. The case also features an integrated fan controller.

One of the main eye-catchers of the case, actually, is rather the rear-hinged side panel, referred to by Thermaltake as a 'suicide door,' though this is not one that's likely to kill you. The case is also made of SECC steel, a result of which is that the case is rather heavy; it weighs a hefty 13.8 kg.

The company gave no word on pricing or availability.

Want. So very very much. Please someone stop me before I do something very fiscally irresponsible.

Reminds me of the Level 10 GT without the fans and alien looks.
