Spring Case Madness: 24 Of The Best

The MRO-18 from ATCS-Tek.

ATCS-Tek is the OEM for many of the elegant cases that you see from a variety of companies. ATCS-Tek has not really been in the spotlight until now. While they do market their own line of cases, most of their time is spent manufacturing cases for their OEM clients.

ATCS-Tek puts a clear focus on the elegant design and quality of their products. These aluminum alloy cases are built from the ground up to provide form and function. The result of this is some of the best designs and highest quality that we have seen to date.

The side view of the MRO-18.

The MRO-18 that arrived at our lab for review is clearly a departure from many of the other designs that ATCS-Tek has done for its OEM clients. (We received late word that Coolermaster will be adding this case to its line up as the Wave Master TAC-T01 shortly.) The construction of the case is outstanding and ATCS-Tek's attention to detail is obvious. The clean curves of the MRO-18 are a departure from many other cases that we have reviewed in the past.

The aluminum alloy construction is first rate. The inside of the case is clean and free of sharp edges. The motherboard tray can be slid out from the back of the case making access to the board easy. The MRO-18 uses large thumbscrews to secure the motherboard tray and side panels. The rounded edges and riveted construction provide for a stiff case that was free from most bends and twists associated with cheaper made cases.
