Micron validates DDR modules

Micron Technology Inc. has successfully tested, or validated, its PC1600 128-megaByte unbuffered DDR SDRAM DIMM and PC1600 256-MByte unbuffered DDR SDRAM DIMM dual in-line memory modules with Advanced Micron Devices Inc.'s 760 and Via Technologies Inc.'s Apollo Pro266 chipsets. A faster PC2100 DDR SDRAM module will reportedly be validated in the near future. Micron has bet on the success of DDR DRAM over Rambus DRAM.
