LoveFilm Bolsters Kids' Content with Thomas & Friends, More

Amazon’s LoveFilm streaming service continues to add new content to its catalogue of TV shows and movies. This time, the service is expanding its children’s TV content with a ton of new shows, including some British classics.

LoveFilm today announced two new deals with HIT Entertainment and Ludorum that will see shows like Pingu, Where’s Wally, Bob the Builder, Kipper, Thomas & Friends, and Chugginton. A new deal with DreamWorks Classics means shows like Rupert Bear, Postman Pat, and Casper the Friendly Ghost have all been retained. Transylvanian Pet Shop, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, and Noddy in Toyland, are also among those that have been renewed.

Last summer LoveFilm signed deals with Disney and Nickelodeon, so its kid-friendly selection has never been stronger. The company was purchased by Amazon in 2011, almost 10 years after its founding. LoveFilm operates in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway and competes directly with Netflix in the United Kingdom.
