HTC's newest flagship phone, the HTC One M8, was only announced last week, but already its available in several markets. Now, just a week after the phone's launch, the UK's Carphone Warehouse is getting a new gold version of the M8. Pocket-Lint reports that the amber gold model is already available through Carphone Warehouse.
Aside from colour, the price is exactly the same, and (of course) the specs are identical to the silver and grey models. It packs a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 LCD panel (440 ppi) and runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 chip with a 2.3 GHz CPU, Adreno 330 graphics, and 2 GB of RAM. There’s also 16 GB or 32 GB of storage (with expansion via MicroSD) as well as a 4.1-megapixel UltraPixel camera, a 5-megapixel camera up front for video calls, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a 2600 mAh battery to power the whole show. On the software side, it’s Android 4.4 with HTC’s own Sense 6 (or Sixth Sense) UI layered on top.
The HTC One M8 hit Vodafone stores in London about an hour after it was unveiled last Tuesday and is also available on EE, O2, and Three. Obviously, pricing will depend on contract and carrier. Carphone Warehouse isn't yet selling the device on pay as you go.
