Gigabyte has announced a new Mini-ITX motherboard – the B85N-Phoenix. This motherboard features a rather interesting color scheme: black and bright orange.
The Micro-ATX motherboard features the LGA1150 socket, allowing it to swallow Intel's Haswell processors. The socket is wired to a pair of DDDR3 DIMM slots, which can chow away at up to 32 GB of RAM. Also wired to the socket is a single PCI-Express x16 3.0 slot.
Users will also find a plethora of other connectivity options. The motherboard features three SATA3s (6 Gb/s) as well as a single SATA2 (3 Gb/s) port. The fourth SATA3 port isn't missing, but rather shows up in the form of an mSATA slot. Also aboard is a Mini-PCI Express 2.0 slot.
Rear I/O connectivity is handled by five USB 2.0 ports (one of which is a gold-plated port for external audio equipment), two USB 3.0 ports, a single DVI port, an HDMI port, a legacy PS/2 port, as well as surround-sound analog audio accompanied by an optical Toslink SPDIF output.
There was no word on availability or pricing.
Now, I await the Nyan-Cat themed motherboard.
