European Prices for Gear Fit and Gear 2 Leaked

Just last week, Samsung unveiled three new Galaxy Gear smartwatches. Unfortunately, the company didn't mention any prices. We tried everything to get Samsung reps at Mobile World Congress to talk numbers. Unfortunately, they just wouldn't bite. Luckily, we didn't have to wait too long to get our first sniff of pricing for these new devices.

Prominent Samsung community SamMobile this week tweeted European pricing for the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit. According to SamMobile, you can expect to pay €299 for the Galaxy Gear 2. The Gear Fit, on the other hand, will set you back considerably less (makes sense, given its limited functionality). It will apparently be priced at €199. Perhaps most interesting is the news that the Gear 2 Neo will also be priced at €199. A hundred euro more is an awful lot to pay for a 2-megapixel camera, no? Are they people who want the camera on the Gear 2 that badly?

The Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo, and Gear Fit are all expected this month, so we shouldn't have too long to wait before we hear official pricing and a release date. Hopefully Samsung UK will talk official figures soon. For now we're hoping the company doesn't just go with 199 and 299 across all currencies...
