InSpectrum: DDR2 contract prices to fall 10 percent in H1 December

With memory makers feeling pressure to improve their quarterly/yearly financial results by releasing more product into the market, PC OEMs should be able to push down mainstream DRAM contract prices further for the first half of December with the price of 512 Mbit DDR2 533 expected to drop about 10 percent sequentially, according to market research firm InSpectrum. On the one hand, memory makers will be encouraging PC OEMs to source more chips in December.
