Datago DE3: A Media Center PC With Good Looks Too

Television And Video

It only takes a few minutes to set up a cable connection to the Datago. After plugging in the cable, Windows Media Center will scan for the best signal and channels. It will also download a free program guide that will let you schedule recordings far into the future, a feature that works like Tivo. The guide is customized for your area, because you enter in your ZIP Code as part of the TV setup.

The picture quality is acceptable. We turned to our local Channel 5, KTLA, and recorded a few minutes of Soul Train. As with other media formats, you can easily burn these recordings to CD or DVD. Since the unit has dual tuners, you can record TV on one channel while watching another.
