Advanced Micro Devices has unveiled a reference design, called EasyNow, that sports an oval-shaped, brightly colored design.
Based on the Easy PC initiative developed by Microsoft and Intel, AMD's design relies on USB plugs rather than ISA cards and features an Instant On capability that reduces system start-up time.
The platform is designed to incorporate AMD's K6-2 and K6-III chips. An Athlon-based version is due next year.
