ZyXEL adds enterprise-grade security appliance

yesterday announced its enterprise-class ZyWALL
70 Internet Security Appliance.
The dual-WAN product is targeted toward SMB users and integrates firewall, VPN, four DMZ ports, auto fail over and fail back, bandwidth management and dynamic content filtering into one product. The latest addition to ZyXEL’s ZyWALL series is ICSA certified for both IPSEC VPN and Firewall and can be configured with optional content filtering powered by Cerberian
The ZyWALL 70 supports up to 70 simultaneous IPSec VPN tunnels with DES/3DES/AES encryption and PKI key management and can be user-configured with 802.11b wireless capability via a rear-panel expansion slot. WLAN security features include 802.1x authentication with RADIUS client and IPSec VPN over WLAN. ZyXEL said IEEE 802.11g compatibility and WPA are expected to be available in the "next firmware release", but gave no timeframe for the release.
The product has a suggested list of $1,349 and is available now.
