ZYB Surpasses 5 Million Contacts Backed-Up
The free mobile phone contacts backup service (say that really fast five times) ZYB has surpassed 5 million backed-up contacts, the company has announced, with over 100,000 people now using the service.
ZYB recently announced a free SMS backup service at the 3GSM mobile conference in Barcelona ; as well as plans for an opt-in social networking site driven by the massive database of contacts the service now has stored.
The company has also received the Red Herring 100 Europe award, which lists 100 up-and-coming technology companies. "Red Herring’s lists of top private companies are an important part of the company’s tradition of identifying new and innovative technology companies and entrepreneurs. Companies like Google, eBay and Skype were spotted in their early days by Red Herring editors, and touted as leaders that would change the way we live and work.
"Red Herring’s editorial staff rigorously evaluated more than 700 private companies through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria, including quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development."
