An undersupply of DRAM and other computer components, such as LCD, could delay product releases and keep prices on electronics up for at least a year, says an Industry Standard article. Chip makers, the IS writers say, are operating at maximum capacity even while the demand for chips explodes. Devices that use chips such as cell phones, digital audio players, PDAs and digital televisions are multiplying daily, but not as fast as they would if there were more capacity for producing components.
