Washington (DC) - XM has announced it will offer a refund for customers affected by the two day service outage that resulted from problems with one of its satellites, but only if they call XM's 1-800 number.
Early this week, XM blamed a "software glitch" for a massive outage that turned off the service for a large part of the United States on Sunday and Monday. The problem was fixed completely by Tuesday.
XM says customers who want a refund can call 1-800-XM-RADIO to get a credit of the two days based on their monthly rate. With the standard monthly fee of around $13, most subscribers would get a credit of 87 cents.
