Xircom Inc. has announced shipment of the CompactCard Ethernet 10 for Windows CE-based handheld PCs.

The Type II CompactFlash+-compliant card connects Windows CE handheld PCs to data and applications located on 10Mbps Ethernet networks corporate networks, the Internet and other online services via direct connection to Ethernet networks.

The card also enables Windows CE users to synchronize and exchange data anywhere on a LAN at speeds nearly 200 times faster than a 56 kbps serial connection.
