If rumors reported by Xbox365.com are true, Microsoft would seem to be attacking the home computer and appliance market through the auspices of its forthcoming game console. According to reports, the so-called game console will run Microsoft Money, enabling the machine to perform online banking tasks. Account data would reportedly be encrypted on the Xbox hard drive with decryption keys held on an external Compact Flash card. Microsoft has already added TiVo-type recording features to Xbox plans.
