Microsoft has just announced that it will debut its ’Live Web’ service in August this year. "With "Live Web" gamers can :

* Bring their Gamertag to life on the PC. Now gamers can stay connected with other Live players when they’re on the Web.
* See which of their friends are playing online
* View Stats and Scoreboards online. Starting with Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Island Thunder (Ubi Soft Entertainment) and XSN Sports in August, gamers will be able to view their rankings through "Live Web."
* Get special content. Gaming is more than just games. "Live Web" will offer an array of exciting content around music, celebrities and other fun events that are exclusively available to Xbox Live members."
