Xbox Graphics on a Board
With all the hoopla about the graphics and RAM technology in the forthcoming Xbox and GameCube gaming consoles, you gotta figure that some of these alleged technological leaps and bounds should bleed over into the PC space. Folks over at The Inquirer have heard the tentative whisperings of Nvidia's plans to release a board called the NV25 in Spring of 2002. According to the story, NV25 will be a clone Geforce 3 with an additional Vertex shader and perhaps more memory and a faster chip clock. According to the Inq's sources, the NV25 might even use DirectX 8.1, just like the XBox.
