by - source: Tom's Hardware

Due to the global shortage of Xbox 360 consoles, Microsoft has adopted a quota system to distribute available inventory and the expected quota for the Taiwan market can supply only one-third of demand from local sales agents, according to senior sales manager Grace Chou of the Entertainment & Device Division of Microsoft Taiwan. The Xbox 360 is scheduled for launch in the Taiwan market on March 16, with the first allotment of nearly 10,000 Xbox 360 consoles already having arrived, said Chou, who added that a second and third shipment will come soon but the total number of available units is uncertain.
