Xandros has released a new version of their Linux desktop that promises to replace Windows operating systems in the office. Xandros Desktop - Professional is network compatible with Windows network servers allowing access to shared folders, NTFS partitions and Exchange servers.

Xandros computers can even login to Windows domains and can be configured with Microsoft Active Directory group policies. Skype software and the Crossover Linux compatibility suite are included. Native Windows programs, like Microsoft Office, can be run inside of Crossover Linux.

Xandros was founded in 2001 and makes Debian-based Linux distributions for corporate and home markets.

Xandros Desktop Professional is available now for $100.
