X server released for Solaris x86
Xi Graphics' latest X server software, Accelerated-X Display Server Version 5, is now available for the latest graphics hardware on the Intel Platform of Solaris 7, also known as Solaris x86.
Accelerated-X, a hardware-accelerated X server compliant with the X11R6.4 release from The Open Group, comes in three configurations: desktop, laptop, and multi-head for the Linux, FreeBSD or Solaris operating systems.
The company is also working with laptop manufacturers to insure Solaris x86 operation with peripheral I/O chips on the motherboard such as PCMCIA, Ethernet, and modem. To learn more about Xi Graphics or their products, visit their web site at http://www.xig.com .
