Two ''Pro Series'' Workstations from Shuttle Soon
Two workstation solutions for professionals featuring dual-core and quad-core options are on the way.
Businesses looking for a compact solution for workers need to look no further, as Shuttle said on Wednesday that it is shipping the new "Pro Series" small form factor (SFF) workstation PCs. Designed specifically for professionals and workstation use, the Pro Series will consist of two models: the J1c 4100P and the G2 7600P. Naturally pricing will depend on the eventual configuration, however the Pro Series will start at $899.99.
"Small, yet powerful, Shuttle’s new Pro Series small form factor workstations are perfect for professional environments where space matters," said Nicolas Villalobos, Director at Shuttle Computer Group in Los Angeles. "In areas like healthcare and finance where size is important, power is needed, and additional expandability might not be necessary, the Pro Series really shines. Shuttle is still the smallest PC capable of handling standard desktop hardware--and the fastest one, too."
Both models will offer dual-core and quad-core options including the Intel Core 2 Duo and Intel Core 2 Quad (J1c 4100P), and the AMD Athlon II X2 and AMD Phenom II X4 (G2 7600P). On the graphics front, Shuttle offers integrated Intel GMA X4100 and ATI Radeon 3000 graphics for 2D while offering upgradeable options consisting of NVIDIA Quadro FX and the ATI FirePro professional 3D graphics cards.
Shuttle also said that a third model will be introduced sometime in June, sporting Intel Core i7 980X Extreme Edition or an Intel Xeon processor. For more information and purchasing options, head here.
