Windows Service Pack downloads on April 12
Microsoft will turn off the mechanism that allowed some businesses to temporarily block the latest Windows XP security patch, Service Pack 2 (SP2), via Automatic Updates on April 12.
Many businesses have delayed rolling out the update, released in August, across their network computers until adequate checks could be performed.
