Windows 7 Shipping Holiday 2009
While some of us here don’t feel Windows Vista to be the atrocity that many others make it out to be, there’s no denying that it was a stumble for Microsoft.
For some PC users and Microsoft alike, Windows Vista couldn’t be replaced soon enough. For this reason, Microsoft is likely putting a rush order to get Windows 7 out the door as soon as possible.
According to comments received by CNET from Microsoft director Doug Howe, Windows 7 will be shipping on new PCs as soon as a year from now, for holiday 2009.
"Definitely the holiday focus is going to be on 7," Howe said.
While the last piece of software that anyone would want rushed is an operating system, early looks at the Windows 7 place it as a solid evolution that should address most of the complaints users had of Vista, plus some new features such as extended notebook battery life.

I'm justy hopeing that windows 7 doesent come with all that bloteware that is in vista.I'm still useing a nlited version of xp and will never updrage to vista due to all the junk that comes with it.If i could i would use linux but im a gamer so not rearly for me due to compatibility.
strange it took sp 2 on xp for me to like it yet vista worked from the start from a socket A to intel 775. From my point of view i found Vista to be a exellent piece of software. Actually the only grip i had was the location of the restart button, lol.
This operating system Did everything you asked it to do and better than previous os, it was the next level from xp. (i also loved XP)
Some People just complain because they are probably so used to the xp interface that change is difficult. Some people forget just how many parts a pc has and what is needed to make them work harmoniously. Yet even the mac has more problems with os lepord than vista.
This is only my opinion. I do tend to like microsoft products so im probably a little bias
