Microsoft to Open Windows 7 Cafe in Paris
Have some Windows 7 with your espresso.
While Microsoft is gearing up to open retail stores in the U.S., the company's take on a European presence seems to be a little different.
According to various sources on the web, Microsoft will be opening up a temporary Windows Café just in time for the launch of Windows 7 on October 22. The café will be located in Paris at 47 Boulevard Sebastopol, and will only be open for a couple of weeks following the launch of the new operating system.
In the location, Microsoft products will be on display and for demonstration, but apparently they will not be offered for sale. Unlike the retail stores, the Windows Café will not be a place for shoppers to buy Microsoft products, as the shop will only sell food and drinks.

what a silly idea...
What MS should really do, is to create a "computerized" cafe that boosts all their technology so consumers could actually see - that what they can do with MS...
Compare this:
cafe and a couple of computers running windows 7 (I am assuming this is what this cafe will feature) and
cafe with Microsoft Surface tables, projectors linked with them, internet access on a single Surface table, MSN chat between tables, full access to the menu from within a Surface and so on so on. And perhaps some other kinky toys from MS? XBOX360 with the prototype of the motion system? That would really bring people in for a while I think. They should create something like "Explorer Shops" - where they would actually run trials of their new technology.
And of all the countries to do it, a country that actually knows what proper coffee and food tastes like! *facepalm*
