WinChip maker IDT throws in the towel
Low-cost chip manufacturer IDT has withdrawn from the Intel-compatible processor business.
At a shareholder meeting, the WinChip producer said it will seek a new owner for its Centaur chip. Speculation has focused on Acer and IBM as possible transfer candidates.
