Blazepro release wireless Wii sensor bar

by - source: Tom's Hardware UK

Relatively unknown tech manufacturer Blazepro has created a wireless sensor bar for the Nintendo Wii console, giving users the opportunity to ditch the unhealthily long cable that comes with the system.

It’s the first third-party manufacturer to create a peripheral for the Wii using the system’s proprietary specifications. There are no third-party Wii remotes or nunchucks.

According to Blazepro, the wireless sensor bar is automatically detected by the Wii. The bar, which is required for the system to receive controls from the wireless remote, comes packed with the console. However, Nintendo attaches a several-foot cord to these.

The wireless sensor bar requires four AAA batteries and can track Wii Remote movements up to a reported 13 feet away. It is available for $4 from TechTree.com.
