Panel makers to roll out 19" widescreen panels next quarter

With the 19" widescreen panels generating higher profits than 17" standard panels, HannStar Display has begun producing for the segment, while AU Optronics (AUO) and Innolux Display will follow suit next quarter, according to the companies. Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) has been the leader in the segment among Taiwan panel makers, and the maker has benefited significantly from the rollout, sources said.
