Panel makers evaluating price increase for 19" widescreen panels
With prices for 19" widescreen monitors having increased, panel makers said they are seeing a stronger-than-expected demand for panels of the segment but are still evaluating whether they should launch a price increase, according to sources. The ASP (average selling price) for 19" widescreen monitors rose 3.6% from $303 in the first half of July to $314 in the second half while that for 19" widescreen panels stayed flat at $128, said market research firm WitsView Technology.
