Western Digital's 120 GB 7,200 RPM HDD

Soon, it seems like the only limitation to the capacity and speed of your hard drive will be the amount of cash in your pocket. While that may be a bit of an exaggeration, improvements in hard drives in the past few years have been achieved at a break-neck pace (much like CPUs). Western Digital's latest fast heavyweight drive is the WD Caviar 120 GB EIDE 40 GB/platter 7,200 RPM model. Western Digital says the drive provides storage for up to 2,000 digital photos, 5 hours of digital video, 45 hours of digital music, 22 games and 35 software programs but, of course, your mileage may vary. The WD Caviar 7,200 RPM family now includes 20, 30, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 GB models. Bigger, better, faster, more...we ask so little.
