AMD, Intel and Microsoft dominated the headlines this week. AMD had a one-two punch with its new AM2 socket processors and good server numbers. Intel answered with first official - and impressive - benchmark numbers for its first processor with "Core" microarchitecture - the upcoming Xeon 5100 "Woodcrest".
Microsoft rolled out version 3 of Live Local and told us how the company plans to sell more software and computers in emerging markets. No lawsuits this week, but we did find a laser turntable to add extend the life of your LP’s.
