Web sites still vulnerable to security hole
Despite patches available to correct the problem, many Web sites continue to suffer from a well-publicized flaw in Microsoft Internet Information Server that allows anyone with a Web browser to gain administration-level access to a server.
The security hole lets unauthorized visitors determine what version of NT is running, and can make it easy to compromise consumers' account details. Among the more high-profile sites reported to be running the product in a still-unpatched version are Safeway, IKEA and Tower Records.
