Following yesterday’s lifting of the Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core NDAs, VoodooPC is now introducing a quad-core powered computer. The enthusiast PC maker is upgrading its Omen line with the Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6700 processor.

VoodooPC says the new computer is "nearly-silent" because of its water-cooling system. Buyers can choose between pre-overclocked ATI Crossfire or Nvidia SLI graphic cards.

Benchmarks started appearing on the Internet after Intel lifted the non-disclosure agreement on the Core 2 Extreme QX6700 processor. Dubbed the ’Kentsfield’, the processor was significantly faster than the Core 2 Duo processor in early Tom’s Hardware Guide tests.

The QX6700 will launch around mid-November and the Omen computer should ship shortly afterwards. No pricing was specified, but VoodooPC computer typically cost several thousand dollars.
