Vivendi Universal may join Napster
Vivendi Universal, one of the world's largest entertainment companies, seems to be leaning towards joining the Napster Bertelsmann project. Universal Music, with Sony Music, has already announced its own online music project, Duet.
Vivendi Universal's CEO changed his formerly non-conciliatory tune and said, "If a legitimate service that demonstrates secure technology is developed, we may license Duet content to Napster but at the same time as others such as MSN, Yahoo, Freeserve, Wanadoo and so on."
