Vivato receives help from Intel
Wi-Fi switching creator Vivato today announced that the Intel Communications Fund was sending some of its money in Vivato's direction. The investment is part of the Fund's $150 million commitment to invest in companies whose technologies will accelerate the worldwide adoption of Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11) wireless networks.
Vivato said the funding will help accelerate product development and expand sales and marketing activities. The announcement also said the companies plan to participate in joint marketing activities.
