Virata unveils new ADSL chips
Virata Corp. has introduced two new communications chips for ADSL modems.
Called Beryllium and Boron, the chips include integrated software that eliminates the need for customers to write the additional software the modems require.
The Santa Clara, Calif.-based company says the processors will provide faster Internet connections at a lower cost.
