Viewsonic Will Sell Microsoft PDA
Viewsonic Corporation, a manufacturer of computer screens and flat-panel displays, will offer for sale a new personal digital assistant (PDA) that features Microsoft's Pocket PC operating system. The new PDA will reportedly feature Intel's 300MHz X-Scale processor; feature a 64,000-color display, 32 megaBytes of flash memory and a Secure Digital (SD) slot. According to one of Microsoft's mobile devices products managers, Ed Suwanjindar, "The device is one of the thinnest and lightest Pocket PC PDAs out on the market...." Retailing for $299. US, this Pocket PDA will be available in November of this year.
