ViewCast.com has combined professional-level video capture, editing and streaming products with the first commercial web site dedicated to hosting home videos, company officials said.
Your Video on the Web features ViewCast.com's Osprey-50 video capture card, along with RealNetworks' Producer and RealPlayer applications. Customers can capture video from their camcorders, VCRs or DVD players, add audio tracks, titles, transitions and special effects, then convert their videos into streaming format files that can be automatically uploaded to www.yourvideoontheweb.com .
The product includes 90 days of free hosting on the site, which is expected to start at $4.95 per month.
