Video Editing for Panasonic's 4.7GB DVD-RAM/R Drives
Panasonic and Spruce Technologies have joined forces to announce that the complete family of Spruce video editing and authoring solutions now support the DVD-R General technology of Panasonic's new 4.7GB DVD-RAM/R drives. The drives combine the random access, rewritable capabilities of DVD-RAM discs and the compatibility of write-once DVD-R for General Use media. Panasonic says the DVD-RAM/R drive begins shipping to OEMs and Panasonic channel partners in Q2 and will be provided to retail channels with an MSRP of less than $1,000 in the same time frame.
