SiS and VIA report differing February sales upon Intel resuming 865 chipset production
With Intel resuming production of its 865-series chipsets since November 2005, Taiwan-based chipset makers Silicon Integrated Systems (SiS) and VIA Technologies reported differing financial results for February. SiS recorded sales of NT$707 million (US$21.8 million), up 6% on-year but down 37% from January.
In contrast, VIA recorded a sales growth of 125.67% on-year and 13.76% sequentially to NT$2.32 billion last month.
