VIA Launches ProSavageDDR KN266 Mobile Chipset

Last week, VIA Technologies seemed to be about the happiest little chipmaker around with the announcement that Intel dropped its claim that the company's AMD K7-compatible chipsets infringed Intel patents. VIA also let us know that it has launched the VIA ProSavageDDR KN266 mobile chipset for AMD Athlon 4 and AMD Duron based mobile systems. The chipset makes use of low voltage DDR266 SDRAM with AMD PowerNow! Technology along with S3 Graphics ProSavage8 technology with AGP 8X equivalent bandwidth integrated into the North Bridge.
