VIA increases S3 stake
Taiwan chip set maker VIA Technologies will increase its stake in S3 to 14.9 percent by purchasing an additional 10.8 million shares
The $145.8 million investment follows VIA's purchase of 1.35 million S3 shares October last October. With its initial $14.07 million investment, Via held a 2.5 percent share of the graphics chip company.
