US legislators plan patent reform
Even while the current session of US Congress winds down, lawmakers are beginning to work on a spate of high-tech proposals for next session, including patent office reform, online privacy rules, and some sort of Internet tax compromise. Concerning patent laws, one Congressman says, "There's a lack of skepticism by the Patent Office, The patent laws are achieving exactly the opposite of what they were established to do."
