Update: Think Longhorn Limited Edition
Microsoft's trying to undo the damage wreaked last week by Senior VP Brian Valentine, who told press that Microsoft had yet again re-jiggered its Windows roadmap by adding to it recently nixed Longhorn server and Blackcomb client releases. Now, Microsoft is saying it is considering releasing a Longhorn server Limited Edition that would go to a small subset of customers. But don't expect a full Longhorn family upgrade in 2005. What a mess.
