After what can only be described as a long wait, Epic's playable demo is now availiable for download from a variety of sources around the Internet. As we reported before the UT03 Demo includes four maps for you to play with until the finally released.
The Unreal Tournament 2003 demo checks in at 98MB which makes it a tough download for anyone who doesn't have a broadband connection. The demo includes four multiplayer maps, two for deathmatch, one for capture the flag, and one for the new bombing run mode. Early reaction to the Demo has been mixed, with some people saying that even with the demo now released it is too early to tell how good the final game will be. Unreal Tournament 2003 is still on scheudle to be released this fall from what we have been told. Reports have download servers on over load with people trying to download the demo. This is good news for Epic who has suffered a lot of pain from the Unreal community while attempting to get Unreal Tournament 2003 out the door.
