Unreal Tournament can improve vision - study

Remember all the grief your parents gave you for playing video games ? Well now you can tell them that action-based games can actually improve eyesight. According to a University of Rochester study, people who played action games for a few hours each day improved their vision by as much as 20%.

Test subjects were divided into an experimental group that played Unreal Tournament while the control group played Tetris. Both groups played their respective games for one hour a day. After one month, the Unreal Tournament players showed marked improvement in spatial vision tests and could easily discern figures in crowded charts. The Tetris players had no improvement in vision.

The researchers now want to test if other computer activities can improve vision.
