Unisys has Q3 Net Income Profit of $59 million
Unisys Corporation reported that its net income for the third quarter was $59 million, nearly triple its net income from one year ago. Unisys also reported that it should achieve its projected 50% growth in full-year earnings per share this year. "Our third-quarter results, delivered in a very difficult economic environment, demonstrate the strength of our business strategy," Unisys chairman and chief executive Lawrence A. Weinbach said. Unisys provides information technology services for financial services companies, for government agencies, and for transportation and communications industries, as well as outsourcing for certain types of services. Large contracts recently awarded to Unisys include a $244 million contract with the Transportation Security Administration to build an advanced information technology infrastructure, and a $252 million contract extension with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to continue its management of the Commonwealth's data center.
