PCs today need more than just technical perks to gain market success. Appearance, ergonomic features and service are becoming ever more important in overcoming continued buyer reticence. In the long run, the classic virtues of quality workmanship, user-friendliness and longevity win out. And the bulk of the all-around PCs from discounters are far from that.
