Turner Classic Movies moves online
Atlanta (GA) - Mixing classic films with new technology, Turner Broadcasting has launched a new online portal that lets users watch TCM content for free.
The new online video service launched this week, and featured the Internet premiere of the classic romantic comedy Living on Love, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. Most of the content, however, isn’t as long, with short films, trailers, and clips from TCM exclusive programming.
TCM’s Media Room expands on the channel’s online platform that already has information and pictures from more than 130,000 movies. Future movies to be uploaded in their entirety include 1933’s Rafter Romance and Double Harness, and 1938’s Double Harness, reports Reuters.
The new service lets users search for clips by movie title, actor, or director, and is available at TCM.com
