TSMC slates 0.10-micron production for Q3 2002
Chipmaker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd. has announced the completion of its basic modules for 0.10-micron CMOS logic processes. TSMC will work with customers to use the technology on silicon to be sold in the third quarter of 2002.
TSMC also says it is getting "reasonably good yields" from its 30 mm pilot production of 0.13-micron 4-megabit SRAM test chips. Tests on customer designs will begin next month.
